Brothers and enemies Fëanor and Fingolfin of Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion'

I love both characters very much and found myself wondering countless times 'What if they got along?' This is my take on such a possibility, though it's very much AU, I guess.

I am new to drawing realistically and I would very much welcome constructive criticism!

Love these two :) I've been writing about them since '07. Of canon characters, they were my first pairing, many, many years back, and I never get bored of them. I am not an artists, I am sorry, so can't give you crit, but I think it's beautiful.

Oh wow, I feel so honoured that you are the first comment here! (You might remember me, you were kind enough to beta read part of my ff-in-progress a couple months back!) So I am very happy that you like the picture, because my view on those two, even though I loved them from the beginning, was greatly influenced by your amazing stories!

Oh, wow. I remember. :D

I am so flattered that I influenced you. Come to the Dark Side, we have Fëanor and Fingolfin! It's incredibly rare to find fic, (I never have, though a friend I read is including it in her latest story) and just as rare to find art!

Hehe, I am glad you do! My writing is nowhere near on par with yours yet, but my ff has branched out into a monstrosity including about 8 different side-stories now, of which one does include our favourite troublesome Noldo half-brothers. XD I think in all my time searching the Silm. fandom I have only found one story, aside from yours, which included them.

But they are wonderful to write, and as wonderful to draw, actually. I think I will be severely tempted to make more pictures with them.

(And shouldn't it be 'Come to the Dark Side, we have the Silmarils?' :'D)

Lol. They grow. It's like putting too much yeast in a bread mixture. And if you draw any more Fëanor/Fingolfin, or either/or, of course, I'll love it.

Fëanor will have a thing or two to say about that, I guess. So no shinies for us. Damn. XD

Yes, I am still writing, and currently under a process of complete re-write, since I was very unsatisfied with the first concept. It was just too 'light' for my tastes. :/
And oh yes, it grew, mostly because I got side-tracked by possible romance I didn't want to necessarily include in the main story line. And then Maedhros and Fingon became too tempting. And their fathers as well. And now I am sitting in front of a mess. XD But it is fun to write, so I will just go with the flow.

Thank you, and yes, I am sure I will draw more of them. And more elves in general. I have neglected my drawing skills for way too long. :)

Hopefully not! XD But when writing about Maglor there needs to be a certain indulgence in angst, I am afraid, otherwise it would be just too unrealistic.
